Dot packs do not renew automatically.
Unused dots stay in your balance.
Consumer protections still apply.
01Who runs DotWars
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the DotWars website, mobile apps and game services (together, “DotWars”). Your service provider is:
[LEGAL_OPERATOR_NAME]
[BUSINESS_POSTAL_ADDRESS]
[BUSINESS_REGISTRATION_DETAILS]
Contact: [CONTACT_EMAIL]
When you create an account, you will be asked to accept these terms. Purchase information shown at checkout also applies to your order. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled; accepting these terms does not, by itself, give consent to optional data processing.
02Eligibility and your account
[AGE_ELIGIBILITY_RULE]
If you are under the age of legal adulthood, a parent or guardian must authorise your use and purchases where local law requires it. An app-store age rating is a content rating and does not replace these requirements.
Provide an email address you control, choose a suitable gamertag and keep your login details secure. Do not impersonate someone else, share or sell your account, or use someone else’s payment method without permission. Contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are not automatically responsible for transactions caused by a security failure on our side.
03Playing the game
DotWars is a shared-board game. Players choose a side and spend dots to place moves on available cells. Battles may end when a winning threshold is reached, a deadline expires, or an inactive board closes. Capture rules can change who controls a placed dot.
The in-app rules explain current board sizes, deadlines, creation fees, rewards and other settings. Read the displayed cost before creating a battle or spending dots. Selecting a side locks that choice for that battle.
A dot pays for a game action, not a guaranteed result. Your side may lose, your dot may be captured, and a battle may end in a draw or close through inactivity. Those normal outcomes do not return spent dots. This does not affect remedies for a faulty service or an incorrect charge.
Country names, flags, clubs and other sides are game themes. They do not imply sponsorship or endorsement by the people or organisations represented. Buying dots is a purchase from the operator, not a donation to a country, club or cause.
04Free dots and purchased dots
Dots are virtual game credits for use inside DotWars. They are not money, cryptocurrency, an investment or a claim to a real-world prize. They cannot be traded, transferred to another player or redeemed for cash, except where a refund is required by law.
- Free and purchased dots do not expire.
- Free dots are spent before purchased dots.
- Rewards, daily top-ups and referral bonuses are governed by the rules shown in the app. Future promotional offers and reward amounts may change.
- Spending a dot uses that credit. A placed dot remaining visible on a board does not mean that the credit remains in your balance.
Purchased dots are connected to the DotWars account credited with the purchase. Keep access to that account. Store purchase restoration does not recreate consumable dots that have already been spent. If a paid balance or purchase is missing, contact us with your gamertag and store transaction reference; never send your password or full payment-card details.
05Purchases and payment
Dot packs are one-time purchases. They do not start a subscription and do not renew automatically. The pack quantity, local-currency price and applicable taxes are shown in the relevant store checkout before you confirm.
In the iOS and Android apps, purchases offered through Apple’s App Store or Google Play are processed under the relevant store’s payment terms. RevenueCat helps validate purchases and connect them to the correct DotWars account. A purchase is credited after it is successfully confirmed.
Future packs and prices may change, but a price change does not change a purchase you have already completed. Do not repeat a payment simply because a credit is delayed; first check the store’s transaction status and contact support.
06Refunds and consumer rights
For an App Store purchase, you can request help or a refund through Apple’s purchase support. For a Google Play purchase, use Google Play’s refund process. You can also contact us at [CONTACT_EMAIL] about non-delivery, duplicate charges or faulty credits. Store procedures do not remove any rights you have against the responsible seller.
For EU/EEA consumers, a distance purchase generally carries a 14-day withdrawal right. For qualifying digital content supplied immediately, that right is lost only when the legal conditions are met, including your prior express consent to early supply, acknowledgement of the loss of that right, and the required confirmation. Merely accepting these terms does not waive it. Rules for digital services may differ.
Where a withdrawal right applies, you can notify the responsible seller with a clear statement identifying your order and your decision to withdraw. You may use the statutory model withdrawal form, but do not have to. See the store’s order confirmation for the seller and contact details.
Nothing here excludes statutory remedies for digital content or services that are not supplied or do not conform to the contract. These may include bringing the service into conformity, a price reduction or a refund. If an order is refunded or reversed, its corresponding unspent paid credits may be removed to avoid duplicate benefit, subject to applicable law.
07Fair play and acceptable use
You must not use DotWars to:
- Cheat, automate play without permission, exploit bugs, manipulate payments or create accounts to abuse rewards and referrals.
- Break into accounts, interfere with servers, bypass security or deliberately disrupt other players.
- Use an abusive, discriminatory, threatening, unlawful or impersonating gamertag, or use game features to harass others.
- Sell accounts or dots, infringe another person’s rights, or organise real-money wagers through the service.
Report suspected abuse or errors to [CONTACT_EMAIL]. If you discover a security problem, report it privately and do not access other players’ data.
08Your permission to use DotWars
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use DotWars for lawful entertainment while you comply with these terms. We and our licensors retain rights in the software, artwork, branding and other protected content. You may not copy, resell or redistribute them without permission, except where the law permits it.
You keep any rights you have in content you provide, such as your gamertag. You give us permission to display and process that content only as needed to operate the game, including its boards, rankings and account features. This does not give us ownership of your personal data.
If you obtain the iOS app from Apple, the applicable Apple software licence terms also govern your licence to the app. These terms describe the DotWars service and purchases; they do not replace mandatory store conditions.
09Updates and service availability
We may maintain and update DotWars to fix errors, improve security, comply with law and develop the game. Gameplay settings may change prospectively, with current rules shown in the app. We will not use a rules update to retroactively change a completed purchase or introduce expiry for purchased dots.
Internet access and a supported device or browser are required. Temporary maintenance, connectivity failures and other interruptions can affect availability. We will provide updates required by applicable law.
If a change materially affects your paid rights, or we plan to discontinue the service, we will give appropriate advance notice and explain your options and any applicable remedies. These terms do not permit us to confiscate paid balances without regard to your statutory rights.
10Suspension and account deletion
We may restrict an account when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect users or respond to a serious or repeated breach. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you a way to challenge the decision through [CONTACT_EMAIL]. Urgent security action may be taken before notice.
You may stop playing at any time and request deletion using the process in our Privacy Policy. Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account.
Deleting your account ends access to its game progress and dot balances. Review your balance and raise any purchase problem before deletion; deletion does not itself create an additional refund entitlement and does not remove any refund right the law already gives you. Placed dots remain on their boards without an owner so shared battles remain intact.
11Our responsibility
We are responsible for supplying DotWars and any purchased digital content in accordance with this agreement and applicable law. We cannot promise a particular battle result, ranking or uninterrupted connection.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where that would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or other matters protected by mandatory law. Your statutory consumer rights remain available. There is no blanket “all purchases are final” rule or automatic waiver of legal remedies.
12Complaints and applicable rights
Send a complaint to [CONTACT_EMAIL] with your gamertag, a description of the problem and any relevant order reference. We will investigate and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also use any competent consumer authority, alternative dispute-resolution body or court available under that law.
Nothing here deprives you of mandatory protections in your country of habitual residence or requires you to bring proceedings in a foreign court where consumer law gives you a local right of action.
13Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms for changes to the service, legal requirements or security. The published version will show its effective date. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect where required, and we will obtain renewed agreement when legally necessary. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights relating to an earlier purchase.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
